Droideka - into the void
Droideka is a digital fashion editorial - a transformative ode to the zeitgeist, collectively created by Jack Hoye, Shira David, and Nakhyia Abrams. We are enduring unprecedented transformations as a society, latching ourselves to technology in attempts to emulate a sense of ”normalcy.” The longing for what was and the hope to resolve our future has left humanity in a void; a space that is indescribable and unattached to one entity alone.
We reimagined traditional means of using the digital application CLO, a software that simulates 2D patterns into sewn 3D garments. Using CLO we designed avatars resembling that of cyborgs, creating all garments through the application. As for our digital environments, they are an amalgamation of distorted images rooted in reality and 2D renderings created using Adobe Softwares.
Droideka is a figure that could be anyone, as they experience representational voids, from the emotions of their designers.

Droideka - discovered
To lay in between a kinetic consciousness
and submerge sentience in capitulation
renders a void of violence - into I’ll collapse.
While my woes form amor in crystallization -
I cave and emerge anew - a foil fetus
ebony and oil - vehement profusion…

Droideka - disillusioned
Consume what lays beyond this heavy cavity -
let light constellate these sore static motions
as my cogs evolve - melt in depravity -
lead me to the edge of the earth and I’ll fall in -
dismembered and obsolete - drowning oceans
in the gravity of this appetence to breathe…

Droideka - detected
A simulation of stimulation unravels -
a body reverberate - subject of the whirl.
I contract asphyxiated - alone in travel
to a white nu-world where all my darkness uncurls
and festers deep within this cage of enamel -
a spiral of your loss in the shape of a girl…

Droideka - dismembered
I am but an encryption of emergency -
a stark surface - cool and drenched - saturated ink -
the implosive product ever anthropocene -
a tool you employ to solidify the brink
of your desolate destruction - martyr machine -
a maligne manifesto for the ways you sink.
